anyone confirm or deny the rumour

Yes, some board members looking after number one and not working together as a team. If all the internal rumours are true I wouldn't blame Des if he did quit. Seem to remember the poor bloke stood on his own at Halifax (final game) last year.

Why was that?

This may take some by surprise but I have to agree with you on this one Boxer. If Des does stand aside then that gives the perfect opportunity for some new blood on the board. Someone with a bit of financial backing maybe?

I am / and have never been convinced that Des is up to the role of chairman  (in my opinion).

It does seem that our financial budget has diminished under Des 's reign

The ground development has gone no where...FACT?

We have stuffed up this year on overseasr signing. 

Our Coach has gone from full time to part time.

The squad has reduced in quality ( depending on your view)

If you asked Des his successes during his tenure as chairman i am not sure he could point to too many things.  Thats said I do believe Des has the best interests of the club at heart and .....There are a couple of numpties ( you know who)  i would fight tooth and nail to over thorough should they assume contol.

Heard some VERY strong rumours today that John Cox is returning to the BOD to shake things up - should be announced within the next 7/10 days, also Barry Richardson MIGHT return to influence the direction of the club if a certain other member of the BOD resigns.

Only rumours, but SOMETHING is defo going on!
