Spotted a message on Leigh site yesterday that caught my eye.Regarded
a former Whitehaven and Leigh player John 'Trackie' McVay who now lives in
Australia.Unfortunately John is now battling cancer.
The guy Darren Hutchinson from the Australian Broadcasting
Corporation was looking for any material from his playing days to put
together a story about him.John's family who currently reside in
Bondi Beach Sydney has requested the story to create some community
support for John as he goes into the second year of his battle with
cancer.
"As apart of our story we're hoping to bring some support straight
from staff and supporters,a chance to send John your well wishes.
They're also hoping to track down some old photos or anything that
might be of interest to his children who have only heard the stories
and at times been privy to the re-enactments.
If you're keen to send something through, even a few lines, please
