Yea I read that on the whitehaven news site that there was a 'Japanese knotweed' contamination (?)! Who knows what they're doing. We'll find out soon enough.
They were digging down to see how far the foundations would have to be layed.  Once this is done they wil be able to forecast how much it will cost.

Well looks like your in for a shock then, the stand is going up on the railway end, the popular side will not be touched.

As I understand it, this stand on the Railway End is going to be as well as the one that will be built on the Popular Side, not instead of. At least we will definitely meet the Super League requirements for 2008 as regards the number of seats, although there are other areas of the ground that need bringing up to scratch for us to be eligible.

More Rumours????

Not a rumour i can assure you, i am 1 of the contractors at the recre doing exploratry work.

As flannerz says we may still get a stand on the pop side but we certainly aren't doing it now just the railway end.

I would believe it when a stand or both stands are actually built.

im guessing there wil be cover on the stand from gretna.
the popular side stand is going to hold a thousand i think so with the 800 from gretna and us already having 500 were going to have 2100 seat exceding the super league requirement.

1000 + 800 + 500 = 2300 not 2100  :P
