How about what Salford are doing with their kids.Rather than going into school and handing out like confetti. The tickets are a reward for hard work in class.
Children receive a 'Golden Angels reward 'and free match day family tickets for attendance and behaviour.
It has been tried giving kids tickets out and even giving free entry on certain match days but has there been much of an increase ?
Problem lays with kids then having to pester their parents to come who might never have been before and arent bothered.
Obviously to a smaller club like Whitehaven we can only hand out so many. But give so many pairs out and hopefully they'll go to kids who havent been before and they bringing mam or dad who may just enjoy the afternoon and want come back.
Get it sponsored -Imagine the exposure for biggish firm 25 pairs of tickets each match for the 9 league games is 450 potential new people coming to watch. Cost ?3500 ,much for a big firm ?
If its a no go with finances at moment, then kids tickets could still be handed out in schools like you say, But as a reward rather than just a freebie.
