Wholly smoke..did not anticipate that one.  Find it very difficult to see whta  a 35 year old bloke who has not played Rugby for 12 months would offer.

I suppose given our financila situatuation we have very little choice in finding a scrum half, he'll cost nothing and if he plays three or four a team games he would concievably be cover..Certainly a big side step from James Wynn to Tane Man>>>

I am not a Bainbridge fan  (as you know) but to me he seems the best option we have.

Ah he's still a spring chicken at 35, didn't Brad Davis run rings around us when he was 38? ;)

Joking aside, not sure what to make of it at all. Surely is a shock move and I'd prefer to see Bamber get given an extended run. I suppose we'll just have to wait and see how this one pans out.

gambles would be a decent signing imo but cant see it look at his player profile
Name: MARTIN GAMBLES Position: SCRUM HALF Honours: IRISH INTERNATIONAL Worst Ground Played At: WHITEHAVEN

your right flannerz brad davis did  ;)

its a shock move indeed, manihera has never had pace even in his town days, and he cant tackle, good kicker of goals and 40-20s and a good passer thats about it.

Jezz I never thought i would see the day when we were trying to sign a bloke from Blackpool or trying to weigh up whether  a 35 year old was a better option.

I can't honestly see either of these blokes being any good for differeent reason!  Didn;t blackpool lose 49 on the bounce!

Martin Gambles has been placed on the open to transfer list..Taken from the Blackpool website **** looks like it could be true..god help us we are going to be the laughing stock

I would quite frankly rather we kept our money in the bank than sign Gambles....Its not even a gamble signing him its a dead cert loser.

He has played in some dreadful Blackpool teams for years and done nothing.  What on earth do we need a scrum half from the worst team in the RL for.?

This is sure to get the crowds flocking back down to the Rec.

I'm know that we need a scrum half with experience but to buy a Blackpool player is taking the biscuit.

Manahera 5 years ago yes, not now unless he is paying us to play

Not been funny but does Ged see Bamber as worse than a retired scrum half who hardly set NL2 on fire and a guy playing for a team who recently ended a 46 game losing streak?!
