20 minutes up the road, 8-30 a bit early surely for a pitch inspection.

Not as if they are travelling any distance.

My thoughts exactly. I can see them saying "We'll see what it's like in a couple of hours lads", which isn't much good to me

Surely they could let the sun get up before making a decision.   I don't think it forecast to be nay harder than last night and Derwent Park was oaky for the Cumbria Cup Final, which Elbra won beating Kells, 19 - 8 (I think that's how it finished)

The ref for the game isn't local so I guess they need to have it early in order to let him know

fair enough i suppose and there are some players who travel up here,
just hope it gets rearranged soon-xmas aint the same without the annual derby

i know the ref isnt local but wasnt it obvious at 8:30am the pitch was going to be frozen? why couldnt they leave it until 11 am and just tell the ref from away the game would deffo be on then? because the pitch at 11am would not be frozen

all the travelling players from haven are already up ie jackson,walker and gorski
