i dont think we are weak in the centres,

mcavoy, walker, patrick, eilbeck,

id like benson to be given a chance first ie the nrc group if he doesnt take his oppertuinty try rob at full back

I'm with the previous post - We're too weak at centre - The list of 4 centres doesn't inspire me I'm afraid.

I'm not a massive Jackson fan but he is probably the best we've got - I still prefer McAvoy in the back row as I just feel he lacks that spark of acceleration where as he's a quick second row - and feel we should be looking for someone to play alongside Jackson rather than move him elsewhere.

I've not seen Benson play so don't want to judge him unfairly - I think you have to give youth at least a chance though or you aren't going to attract youngsters to the club in future - they'll go to Town, get first team games, get stuffed in a weak team, get demoralised, retire and take up bowls or something!!

not a very good example of how strong we are at centre

mcavoy probably better 2nd row
walker yet to see
patrick there is potential
eilbeck  please no!

Big concern if Lebbon is out for the season.

Taking a huge risk if Lancaster is the only cover, reckon Ged would play Eilbeck on the wing before Lancaster.

If Lebbon is out for the season, then I can understand why Ged might consider Matt Gardner.

why is he taking a risk with lancaster? he is very fast good finished had a couple of full lengthers in the academy, are we being pre- judgemental like we were with ged and tane? oh and saia? and mcdonald?

No one else really stands out as a signing to cover wing.

Only really good local prospects are Elliott Miller from Millom and Patrick Vaughan from Maryport. However the pair of them are only 18 (I think) and not physically developed enough to cope with first team rugby week-in, week-out.

Think Calvert would be better at fullback (if converted) than Jackson IMO
