Tax inspectors raid Derwent Park this morning

Early this morning a squad of Inland revenue officers swooped on Workington Towns Derwent Park ground. They where seen loading several files into the back of one of there vehicles and several people have been interviewed.


A spokesmen for the inland revenue, Mr Charles Lancing said " they had been claiming tax credit against silver polish since 1990 and clearly some thing odd has been going on " 

There was no comment from DP
