Apparently Halton council are having a change of heart about selling the stadium to Mr Vaughan. Mr Vaughan (Widnes owner) was hoping to buy the stadium and move Chester footy club there and sell the Chester footy ground thus making a nice little profit.  Now with Widnes 160 mins away from SL they can see the benefit if they win the grand final of 1000's more fans comming next season. Interesting :o

I thought that Everton reserve football team played at the halton stadium. I'm sure they would have a say if the stadium got sold or not. I wouldn't have thought that fixtures could be sorted to have two teams playing at the same ground.   :-\

Any way can't wait for Sunday.
