Whitehaven's reserves went down narrowly this afternoon 28-24 at Leigh , winning 16-4 half time and until the last 10 minutes.
They travelled with just 14 men, lacking 3 substitutes !
On a day like today in the hot sun ,It would have been very easy for them to call it the game off through lack of players and went off and done something else with their families.But they agreed to travel and put up a great fight.
Because of this, WISC have recognised the superb effort the young lads have shown have arranged through reserve team manager Dave Farrell to try and buy the lads a round of drinks on us on their way home.
Which Dave has said was a marvelous gesture.
Well done all concerned,That's all fans ask sometimes is 100% effort
