Choccy you keep going on about Des Johnstons input at Barrow but just stop and think where Haven would be right at this moment if it were not for the input from Mr and Mrs Raaz?    You wouldn't be half the team you are now without their input and efforts, so try being a little more realistic.
Wouldn't have been nice if Barrows major employer had put the same money in as BNFL/SL have over the years?

Not to mention the biggest Sugar Daddy of them all - the Nuclear Industry (who are paying for 75% of the proposed new stadium!).
the only way is up.

first of all im entitled to my opinion on every subject on here if it doesnt agree with others well tuff thats who i am.secondly nobody can call the raaz family for anything yet as they are just setting out on a venture to make haven as good as they possibly can.as for des johnstone i dont doubt for one minute that if he could start again at barra from scratch he would do things differently.as for non haven fans well weve had all the brown stuff thrown at us and yes by those on here so as the old saying goes "what goes round comes round"keep licking those wounds as they do heal.jammy grow up!!
our players couldnt get in the town team you,ve gotta be kidding.theres plenty town players i hope dont wear the chocbluegold.

Dont think anyone is knocking DJ getting involved in Barrow. It is the folly of his approach that is so lamentable.  He chased practically every local player bar one or two, scraped any youth and reserve team and frankly appeared to run the club like his own little fifdom going through more coaches in three years  than most clubs have in 8 years.

no doubt Barrow have enjoyed some good times due to DJ but the true cost has only begun to appear, will be interesting to see if he sticks around to help sort he problems the last three years have caused.

With regaqrd to Mr and Mrs Razz ...they are working towards a more stable lasting legacy with a club built on sound youth structure, rugby people making the decisions budgets the club can sustain and most importently of all a new Stadium for the community.  A totally different agenda an approach there is just no comparison.

Boxer what do you suppose will happen at Haven when Mr Razz contract at LLWR ends do you think they will hang around a small town club spending money hand over fist or up sticks back to the states? We better hope that the supporters trust has gained a major holding in the club oe we will be back where we were last year.

Des Johnston is not Barrow Raiders!

No one individual is bigger than any club, and whilst he can be ego driven with his input, there
are many assumptions made about Des that snowball into resentment.

One thing about Des will never change though, when people talk of him walking away which
he obviously will at some point in the future, he will remain a Barrow Rugby/Football/Sports
fan. Because unlike many  financial backers/sponsors trying to sweeten their image in communities . . . Des Johnston is a Local man.

You reap what you sew just Like we did last season.remember SCR posting on here numerous times how des was not putting that much in and the club could cope without him.Well that might be tested soon .I agree with boxer and you only have to read holtys posts on the barrow.site to see the mistakes des has made.we still had a lot of local players and youth structure to fall back on barrow dont so if he does pull the plug it could take them years to recover

Ask a lot of Barrow fans and they'll tell you it's no suprise it's come to this. Not slagging DJ off he's done his best and we had some cracking games/days out but i'm afraid we won't see them again in a very long time unless somebody else invests in the club. The future  will have to be focused on local players giving 100% .To many players have took the **** this season it's obvious who they are, get rid and start again.
