i would'nt knock rudd yet.. but he certainly is not awsome,,,we havent played anybody yet,,,,yes we beat a full time team yesterday,,,,,but if holroyd was playing ,,,he would have kicked us all over the park like  he did last season........in my opinion if a classy stand off is available?????get him,,,,we will then be very serious contenders for the championship

There are players around who could do an excellent job for us this season playing in all three divisions. The problem is convincing them to either A - travel to Whitehaven which is in reality situated in the middle of nowhere or B - uproot themselves and in many cases their family to move up to West Cumbria. Either way its a tall order.

A name thats been mentioned a few times is Maxime Gresque wether or not he would see Whitehaven as a step up from Pia is questionable as although many have criticized him in the past he has the ability to create chances with Gallic flair and possesses an excellent kicking game. He didn't make it at Wakefield last season when on trial however he carried Featherstone to 80 minutes away from a GF appearance 2 seasons ago almost single handedly.

gresque no thank you never rated him and he couldnt get in a struggling wakefield side last season and were supposed to be a team with sl aspirations so id keep away from him

scott moore (st helens loan deal dr worked with the kid)
tommy lee (hull fc will soon be out of the team when cooke etc return again a loan deal)

or even lads playing second grade in australia with english passports we just need to do are homework on players

here is a lad here would be worth a look at

Yes he maybe would be, but hes OVERSEAS, and the only way he could come here, is if we SACK Trindall.

ahem who have we played  ::)
workington town they beat amatuers at home 18-10 says alot about them
blackpool twice finished bottom of nl2 last season
drew with barrow who are a good nl2 team
and doncaster who are really struggling at the minute

hardly good teams are they  ::)

Watching  the  highlights  on  the  newsandstar  he  actually  had  a  hand  in  quite  a  few  of  our  tries.

Greseque couldn't get in the Wakefield team, because a certain Rooney was playing at 6, look how good he's been for Wakefield this season.

Greseque would give our team a new dimension, alongside Duffy could be just the partnership to take us to the grand final and beyond.

French season nearly finished, got to be worth at least getting him over for a trial.

Also might be worth getting Josh Taputu over at the same time, Samoan International Centre scores trys for fun and solid defensively. However got feeling Taputu will end up in Super League.
