just cant help wondering when is john lebbon going to get a chance to prove he is a decent go forward winger and not a crab like craig calvert

what a difference watching steve maden to craig calvert

every ball maden took in went forward
the reverand, big mac

Just cause you don't understand what's going on don't mean it don't make no sense
And just cause you don't like it, don't mean it ain't no good

craigs job is to get to the middle of the field not to run straight thats what the coach tells him to do thats the game plan put lebbon in by all means but hes nothing on calvert full stop

only thing calvert has on lebbon is pace

lebbon is better defensivley better under a high ball and isnt scared to run straight

craig runs across field thats losing metres not gaining them hence rob jackson maden and broadbent being among the highest metres gainers last year from play the balls by running straight

take calvert out and you lose a match winner that simple

take 1 match winner but we have more in the team

maden can win a match
rob jackson can win a match
duffy can win a match
sice can win a match
fletch can win a match
aaron smith can win a match
mcavoy can win a match

plus the lads play as a team and have no indivdual superstars  ;)

At one stage last season when Calvert was injured Lebbon came in. I distinctly rememeber Lebbon getting a couple of tries and DR saying ' Just because you're Craig Calvert doesn't mean you get in the team.' Lebbon started the next match. He should be given  chance if Calvert isn't doing what he should on the pitch. He got his hatrick against Blackpool but nothing against Donny. I wondered why he wasn't played against Teams when Maden was injured and Derry was put on the wing. Was this because JL was injured? I wasn't at the match against Donny. Was Calvert doing the business?

I  thought  against  Doncaster  Calvert  had  a  very  good  game.  He  was  excellent  in  defence  and  should  get  20+  tries  this  season. :)

Calverts going forward isn't the best but his try scoring to games ratio is one of the best and he has been 1 of our top try scoreres since he arrived so in my opinion he can't be dropped.

for me the paper got it right penny targeted calvert as a weak link and peppered him all day
but to Calvert's credit he was sound in defense and personally i would rather he run in field
and not make yards than have him dragged into touch
