Any Haven fans contemplated the dooms day situation.... Town go up and Haven are left in this terrible league.

That would be very bad on a number of levels.

Those penalty deductions look increasingly likley to have done their job.

Even without the deduction we would'nt have the testicular fortitude to get out of this league.

To be fair without the minus nine we would have been very close.  Whats frustrating is we have the strongest team in the league just to many of the same lemons letting everyone down.

Dear Boxer if Tolouse, Gateshead and the london s.wales teams were to go by the wayside [a possibility] do you think the RFL would re constitute one lower division league? If so it's really been a waste of everyone's time this year.

Well if hades hasn't just frozen over. Colin and I finally agree upon something.

It is true, I have no genuine ambition for the Club to lose money. ;)

Here's another version town go up and do very well, we stay down for the next couple of seasons and Allerdale pull out all the stops [bear in mind what they have developed in the last few years] for a compact super league ground, I will bet you my last penny they will not be talking about mergers then.

Have to laugh ..keith you have been one of the main advocates of a merger in any debate over the last 12 months.

keith has always stated he wants a new club formed with no links to the current ones. To me that would then kill off both Haven and Town. However we seem to be drifting off topic onto the other thing that seems to crop up from time to time. So, to add to the doom, if Town do go up I would presume that they'd then have the pick of any talent in the area as they'll have a bigger salary cap and players may want to test themselves up a level.

Dear Keith, I wasn't aware of that because I only ever go on this one, however if Town and Barrow have their own forums??? I really find it hard to believe the issue has never been broughtt up! Perhaps it means that most people in Whitehaven want to stay independant.

Think your right knowitall although not sure Town would have the income to out bid us even if they went up.

Key to us next year is making sure that if Rob Purdham plays he comes to Haven.

If town got promoted they,d need crowds of at least 1500 to be able to make a competitve squad and to use the full 300k
