That's true Tommygun but Town's crowds are still very low for the position the team is in at the present time.
In fans defence all I can say is that they have been let down far too many times in the past by poor team performances when people have given them "another" chance. It always seemed that as soon as Town started to look as if they would have some success and some ex-fans came back to see then that is when the team lets them down.
Eight seasons in this division have certainly driven many fans away and even when we went 14 months without losing a match at home (under Ged Stokes) we couldn't significantly get those fans back. With other problems in the game that the RFL have introduced, licensing, no P & R, etc, many people have been turned off from the game altogether and may never return.
