By all accounts joint Haven/Town u23s also rumours of a u18s Haven/Town/Barrow run from Lakes College under Mr Hewe ?
If true, I don't think this will be a bad thing at all. There will be surplus lad's, who will be signed on, that at times will not be in the first team squad, so by a joint team this will allow them to keep up their fitness levels should they called into the first team. That's better than training each week and not getting a game if your not selected.
