While I have no intention of criticising any player who signs for Whitehaven, especially as I know absolutely nothing about the lad, I am confused. Our props would seem to be Valkulis, Culneen, Houghton, Haggerty with potentially Ford & Hill if needed. Given we have a plethora of three quarters with Calvert, Flemming, Hamzet, McEvoy, Wiper, Wilson, Ackerley and Bauer. Without even considering the Fox lads, I would expect the subs bench to be 2 props, Sice and one of the three quarters. Stevie Wonder on a dark night with his eyes closed could see that the area we are lightest in is at half back...unless there is someone from "down under" on his way?
