It would be nice of the BOD to let us fans know what's going on.

Do they ever Learn from their mistakes?

Collier, afraid you expect too much. Our BOD are STILL unable to get their act together and keep fans informed.

Even if it was a simple statement such as 'No news yet' posted on here would get the message out. But no, that's too complicated for them to undertake apparently.

No wonder adverse and unhelpful rumors circulate when the BOD can't communicate on issues the fans are concerned about. Unbelievable !!!

Agree with the above poster surely someone at the club could just make a statement on here to whatever effect.

I assume all that I have posted regarding the SSI's at RFL HQ has proven to be accurate. As SSI's they are well practiced and able to justify everything they have sanctioned, (eg Wigan), while also justifying everything they debar, (eg havens request regarding Bond).

Their opinions are above question, and their actions above reproach, because they always stay cocooned in their self serving world and remain convinced that they are the only ones capable of getting things right and also be able to do it all of the time.

God help rugby league going forward, these people may not destroy it totally as a spectator sport, but they will certainly continue to degrade it as such year on year.

Your right there marra. Problem is there only destroying our sport at Champioship level. SL is what they care about and is flourishing. Every year they tell us attendances have risen and that may be the case whilst at our level fans have become disheartened. Until  all smaller clubs start kicking up a fuss not only will it continue to happen or may even get worse ???

Super league is thriving is it?

-Pretty much all the bright young talent has moved to RU or australia... there is only Tomkins junior left and he will join is brother in a couple of years.

-All the potential top british coaching talent are involved in RU (Shaun Edwards, Ford, farrell). Even Farrells son is playing for england RU!

-Pretty much all the top clubs coached by southerm hemisphere guys

-Super league teams dominated by aussies and kiwis.

-Looking at rugby leagues reliance on overseas coaches and players; it is pretty much comparable to british basketball or ice hockey!

-We are getting worse (not better) at internatonal level.

Apparently attendances are improving... is that really true or are the figures being fudged (i.e. how do they factor in magic weekend attendances into the overall statistics for the season?)

The only satisfaction I get from the current situation is that super leagues apparent disdain for the likes of us; ain't that much different to the disdain the national media has for super league.

Et tu Brute?

Splodge, well said, there is so much I and a few other posters could add to your list, consistent rule fannying, top heavy - and distant HQ, total we know better attitude, you will do what we say not we will do what you want us to do, no league status, pandering to daft ideas [i.e. the meter maid and plastic pitches] artificial wage restraints, disregard for tradition, obsession to the point of MANIA of spreading the game, we have now had a plonker in the rugby leaguer proposing we have a pan european SL with only 8 English teams - bring back a lot of the old structures and the game will be better etc etc etc.

Think we can put this one to bed Bond and Butterfield playing for the Dolphins this weekend.
