Any idea when tickets are out?
If it's a girl they're naming her Sigourney after an actress, if it's a boy the 're naming him Rodney after Dave

Any day of the week ha ha. I don't mind the festival different Banda every year. But it's the same old tripe on the harbour every year, same old food stalls.

nobody is forcing you to go and walk around the "same old tripe". perhaps you could contact the organizers and offer your services to ensure a new brand of tripe for the next one?

Personally none of it really interests me but i'll have a walk down on the sat evening

Oh good, it's nearly time for the annual debate on the festival :)

All I can say is, I know that it does a lot of good for the town and that a small team work very hard in making it happen year after year - but I also KNOW that while it is stated that people are free to contribute and help shape the event this is in fact not the case. I am sure that most of the parties involved are quite happy with the way things are at present.

That's not to say that the organisers do not 'listen' to the town  - one example I've pointed to before is the 'burger stalls' that blighted the first few Maritime Festivals but are now no longer to be seen, thankfully.
