Well in the interests of staying positive he doesn't look to be carrying to much weight.  Compared to cooky at doncaster who has a pretty big gut on him Rooney looks pretty trim.

I know that players always say this but, he mentions in one of the interviews that he has been keeping up training even though not playing so shouldnt be that long till match fitness (if he has been training)

IMO he has to have a changed outlook and mentality, otherwise this could all look rather silly for us in quick time.

Like everyone else, I want it to work out, but their is, and it must be recognised, a significant degree of risk involved in what we've taken on here.

Sunday's game will start to highlight or draw down the size of that risk, lets all hope it's the latter.
