Its ok signing him on a lucrative contract, but what's the point if u then go bust again owing him a fortune

Same can be said of yous lot with Thackery
At least he'd be guaranteed his money at town. I don't think he's daft enough to make the same mistake twice.....

why would he be guaranteed his money at town your finances are shot at the minute and dont look to be heading for better days.we are in a very healthy position at the moment.

Apparently it's a done deal supposed to have signed last week that's what's doing the rounds

He has been made an offer by both clubs and has promised his decision by tomorrow. Both clubs have offered him very good money, but Town have said they're not getting into a bidding war and their offer is final.

Can only commend Town for their stance
"Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great."

I wonder if all this speculation may have come from someone close to the player in order to squeeze extra money out of Town.

As for a bidding war I'd put Matty in the Rooney category such is his influence. Best hooker outside SL in my opinion.

He's the only player - aside from Rooney I'd break the bank for.
