Is Cummings not at Leeds Rhino's ? If so why would he give up a good career to come to this mess.

Woods has proved himself in both leagues outside of SL. He has won the title with favourites and perenial losers.

Wonder if Sculthorpe would be interested in Coaching. Similar backgroud to Cullen and would definitely get some interest back into the club

Ellery Hanley, did a good joib with Donny and one of the best English RL players ive seen

Did I read Shaun Edwards has left his club role in RU? Now that would be a coup, albeit a rather expensive and far fetched

I definitely wouldnt want Benson here, hasnt impressed me with any of his teams

Alker, for me, isnt the kind of person id want here, if given the option. Just dont get a good vibe, put if he proved me wrong I wouldnt complain

Cummins, hmmmm so-so is my feeling on this, doesnt strike me as a person that would be able to motivate.

Would Paul Cullen not come again?

Why would he give up a well paid job as Director of Rugby at Widnes to come here for probably half the pay ?

NJG;

Tony Benson has a 64% win rate (not including his SL tenure at Leigh), since he began coaching in Britain and no league success. Even though he had a good Leigh team that had just been relegated from SL and, initially, a well financed Oldham team. He has coached 1 season in the Championship, that ended with exit from the playoffs at home to a  average Batley team that scraped into the playoffs.

The rest of his coaching (again except when he took over Leigh when they were in SL and subsequently relegated) has come in Championship 1.

For me, not the kind of coach we should be looking at

Can't say any of those names look particularly exiting. Think it would be better if the coach is based in Whitehaven.   Woods looks the best option if only because he has had some success in the champ.
And seems to know what he is talking about.   That said with out the backing of the bod and training once a week don't fancy anyone's chances .

Cummins strongly linked with Dewsbury job and it's a long way for him to travel

Benson has underperformed at Oldham

Too much baggage with Alker and if we have a drinking culture......

Goulding - would be interesting but hasn't stayed anywhere too long

Schofield - never achived anything as a coach

Woods - has performed before but again he left the last 3 jobs under a cloud of sorts

The biggest question is who leaked the list if it's true?
