The club have issued the following statement on social media…….
Whitehaven RLFC BOD Communication.
As most of you are probably aware, the number of people on the Board has significantly decreased over the last 12 months. With the recent resignation of Gary Eilbeck as an active board member, after many years of dedicated service, it has left us with limited people and time to run a semi professional rugby league club. At the shareholders meeting in February, a request was made for any volunteers who could help the board to come forward. So far, we have had very little response. The Board would like to firstly invite any shareholders who feel they can help the board carrying out different roles and tasks to support the day to day and weekly running of the club. More information will be given to anyone who expresses an interest. If any shareholders feel they can help, please email
admin@whitehavenrl.co.uk we will then arrange a meeting to discuss the options. Thank you. Whitehaven RLFC BoD
They need help. We all heard the rumours that people were waiting to come in if Gary left. He has and where are they? Now is the time for people to step up and help the club.
