Can't see your point Parton, if you bought a business off someone else who had massive outstanding debts, would you work your fingers to the bone paying off the debt they accrued.

Don't say YES, because nobody would.

This isn't the same business, it's a new business, and has owners who bought the business because they felt that by investing their hard earned cash in it, that they could make a go of it.

That's how the law of the land looks at it anyway.

Who to say Haven didnt pay back more via DR purchase of the assets that was distriibuted to creditors - than Town paid back over a number of years.  in a cVa you only pay so much in the pound .

Keith, I like quite a few others too, would like to think the new haven set up could some how 'look after' previously good local service suppliers in the future, however that would have to be in the form of some ongoing 'partnership' and would be well down the line if ever I feel.

I suspect even now the club is in a very fragile state, and will remain so for some considerable time.

I just hope a large number of supporters don't think this is the end of all of our troubles.

To paraphrase another of our great cigar puffing saviours .....Churchill,....... This is not the end of this dreadful business, just the end of the beginning of the end of it.

Keith i am sure you would like to think that but do you know for a fact.  DR and the Bod paid a sum of money to the administrator to buy the assets of the club that will subsequently be paid back to the creditors.  How much we do not know buit sufficient to out bid "another group" if i understand things correctly.

Townd went in to administration and paid X back in the pound over seven years after seven year teh remaining debt was wiped out.  It does not necesssarily follow one route is better for creditors than another ..lets be fair Town didnt exactly bring in huge revenues in the years following admin so by the time they paid overheads and run the team there will not have been a lt left for the creditors ...how much did Town owe when they went under ?

Point is Keith i am not sure Town did much different when they went under despite what Town would like to think.

Could we not get AMEC to undermine our grandstand? :) :D :o
Freud said that the essence of the comic was the conservation of psychic energy. But then Freud never played Second House, Friday night at the Glasgow Empire - Ken Dodd

Well at least he won't be Coach if the comment from BBC Cumberland Twitter is correct that Mr Raaz wants David Seeds as Coach! Things are looking up.

cbandg01 - legally they are not obliged to do anything, you are right. However, a successful business needs good relationships with suppliers and associates and many bridges would be built if, in the future, Haven (2010) compensated in some way. Theres ways and means to do this marra.
