Boxer, I'm pleased Whitehaven have reformed as a new club, despite the fact (as said previously) that I don't like the thought of a pre-pack admin. I feel for the people who lost out financially, but as Whitehaven RL had nothing to offer creditors or shareholders, I now feel a new start is the only way forward. The demise of Whitehaven would have left a big gap, & despite the fact I quite enjoy the discomfort of Whitehaven fans when the club isn't doing well, (pretty much as you do with us) I didn't want you to fold. This was too serious. I know what its like to have a club on the verge of extinction & its not a happy situation. Good luck for the future (but not too much). I'll look forward to our derby's next season. See you all on Sunday.

keith has been one of the main posters and contributors to this site for many years now boxer, i for one am sure he would have been upset if haven had failed to continue in guise

i think your comments are well out of order, and trust keith is treating them with the contemp they so richly deserve

well done to the consortium for buying haven, now lets see some real effort into gettinga decent side on the park for next season

That's life I'm afraid. Most of us will have been at the receiving end of some sort of financial downfall wether it be through a bank, shareholding or even the holiday and flight companies that have been going bust of late. Myself included. I could'nt afford to lose my money but I did. We just have to accept that as unfortunate as it is, we have to get on with life. Let's now allow Haven to get on with theirs.

I am here Boxer and I don't intend to get in to any childish slanging matches with you or anyone else.    You think you know something that others on here do not know so why not grow some and tell everyone.   

I don't like to see any club in difficulties and at Town we have suffered for years because of it.   People on this forum and on our forum know my view about having a new club at a mid-point between the two towns.    That is my own personal opinion which I may add is shared by quite a few people that support both clubs and also many from outside the area (Alan Tait being the latest to express that opinion in this weeks T & S).

That does not mean that I wanted to see Whitehaven fail and disappear but Boxer cannot grasp that fact.    I wouldn't want to be part of any merger or take-over of either club, which I think Boxer is privately hinting at in previous messages when he suddenly had a change of attitude towards Haven himself.   I wonder why?

And if you want to be strictly correct you are not coming back you are a new club just being admitted to the RFL, the old club has gone and passed into the annals of history.   So, welcome to the new club.

Anyways - What ive seen of Keith of here - His posts are a pleasure to read as they are personal opinions and most of which do make sense.

Well said Davey, and if i may add to that i find Keiths posts helpfull, thought provoking and always pertinent to the topic of the post, hes never aggresive or negative to the extreme and always puts his point across without resorting to personal attacks, if only everyone posted as he did we would have a fantastic enviroment here.

Thank you Davey and Iceman for your kind words.   I do try to keep my posts on topic and try extra hard not get too personal on here.   If I have anything personal to say anyone then I use the Personal Message system which more people should use instead of cluttering up the forum with so much rubbish.
