Saw him play many times, he was one of that era of Aussie players who started the long domination of Aussie rugby that is still with us today, he was big fast rough and you knew a game was in hand whenever his name was on the team sheet, he loved to "get involved" and many a player tried to take him but few ever managed it. If ever the word legend was a fair description of a sportsman it was he. :(

Saw him play many times Cran Cran, just how long were you in Hull or Aussie for then ????? :o :o :o

Or are you prone to exageration on occasions ?? :o :o :o

His only spell in the British game came back in 1968 when Colin Hutton persuaded him to join the Robins.
Beetson made just 12 appearances in the red and white shirt before his stint was ended by a badly broken leg and dislocated ankle that he sustained in the Christmas Day derby game against Hull FC at Craven Park in 1968. His time in East Hull may have been brief but his legacy will always remain.

Excuse the hyperbole of the use of the word "many" shall we say approx 10 times live and many times on T.v. I shall be more exact for you next time.

Tv wasn't invented until 1995 when Rupert Murdoch split two of the sports he owned into Rugby Union and Super League..............that is right isn't it?
