It has just been announced that the play offs will be Saturday night kick offs, and that next season  they will consider if to  play some or maybe all on a Saturday night . I do appreciate that the club has to try new things for the betterment of the team, and you probley think that I am behind selfish . My problem is that I work a continuous night shift and Saturday night's a work night for me , sadly that would probably be the end of me beeing able to attend Haven matches :( . My niece who has supported Haven since she was a small child , would also have to give up attending matches due to her family and her husband also being a shiftworker .

It's not going to work out for everyone whatever day and time it's played as it happens Saturday is my only guaranteed day off so I'm lucky there. I do think it will be better for the players to play Saturday's as they can socialise with friends and family on Saturday nights and Sunday's.
NO PAIN NO GAIN

I am probably in the minority, and I think you have brought up a really valid point about the players . I want what's best for the club ,and if it's a success then it's a good move . Unfortunately it would curtail my attendance :(

It's worth a try I say. You'd get more in bar on a Saturday night game with people not having work next day. Or for us shift worker's it makes no difference to me. Cano is right though Saturday is sport day and Sunday is family and relax time. Give it a go.

Would they get more in the bar though? Some of the bar staff already work Saturday nights in their normal jobs, so staffing may be an issue. As Shaun has already said there are a few complaints about the lack of staff on Sundays as they disappear anyways, so why would people choose to stay in the bar and struggle to be served when they can go to the likes of the marchon club (possibly cheaper)
I mean, they can trial it but I reckon attendances could take a hit for many different reasons.

Ye I think as long as the bar service is sorted I think more people would go in the bar for a few before going into town.

Unless there's entertainment on I'd say the majority of people would just head straight to town

Not only would it improve your attendances it would also gratley improve your night time economy and the volume of people in the town for the Saturday night!! It's a win win only wish town would do it.

The club should be congratulated for trying something new.

People are alway going to be critical as most people hate change.

You could argue that the club could potentially make money via other streams such as bar takings especially if there's an early evening SL / PL kick off on TV prior to the game. Do the club have Sky?

Not sure, but it's very expensive and the cost is judge on the size of bar. Reds used to have it and
Cancelled as it was costing £500 per month

It caused a bit of a stir when barrow did it this year but hasn't affected attendances and possibly improved them. The players seem to like it better too.

I am still inclined towards a Sunday 15:00 KO.  The conversation though is again around best use of the Club bar, therefore the main benefit of a Saturday evening KO (suggest 18:30) is as Gary rightly points out is the availability of local buses.  The last bus to Egremont and Cleator Moor on Sunday is 18:05 while on Saturday it is 23:25 from Duke Street.

I work Monday - Saturday and would struggle getting Saturday nights off, Sundays have been fine for the past god knows how many years.

We have had the crowds for Sundays in the past and we could do again, we tried sat night already this year and I might be wrong but it might be out worst crowd this season??

I'm sorry but Sundays have to be the way forward
