The club would like to thank all the fans that travelled on Sean's bus yesterday, and those that came in cars etc., you were all great and you do make such a difference to the lads. It was Jessie's birthday on Saturday! Now you all know that Mark Stamper is an expert in selling and fitting Kitchens and now he is proving he is a dab hand IN the kitchen. This is the cake he prepared for Jessie and presented it to him on the bus on the way home with a rousing "happy birthday to you" even Craig Calvert has got in the cake reminding Jessie to "PASS IT" - needless to say it put the lads in an even better frame of mind after the great win at Dewsbury.

It's obvious to me as someone who only sees the lads at away games that the word is out that we are a team players, the  board and we supporters alike. It brings a l'arl tear to my eye when I see not only the "local" players but the so called travelers come over to us travelers and we get a rally from them. Mind I don't have to go as far as you lot up there but my heart is in W. Cumberland and there have been times I have gone to games in fear and trepidation. Now I go up to the pub and folk say did you win again, well with the huge grin on my face they do not need a reply. I may even come up for the Town match mind putting money in their pockets will be hard. I think I'll have a bed  ready for me.

What we must never forget that when we applied to enter the RFL only two clubs voted against and one of them was.............................guess who?

Oh come on, how many of those people involved then are even alive today, never mind involved in local semi-pro RL.

I enjoy the rivalry and banter as much as the next person but most of what is posted on here (not just Haven or Town fans) is childish at best. What must neutrals think who come on here for a read about RL but instead read through playground squabbling.

I hope we finish above Town, I hope we pip them to most of the top locals willing to try the next level, I hope we whitewash them for many years to come, I hope they never win another trophy as long as I live.....buy should none of this occur I won't be spiteful or "hate" them

Back on topic I think the cake looks great and must have been a fitting end to a great days rugby. Well done to the players and support staff/board who are putting the feelgood spirit and passion back into the club.  ;D 8)

Man City could really learn a lot from Haven about how to keep your players happy with birthday cakes.
