I'm sure Liam's playing boots are hung up, but you never know.

Liam Harrison supposedly doing the pre season with town before signing on to see if his knee holds up. Was a great player a few years ago but a big gamble imo unless on pay as u play

A barrow lad at work said wilkes wont be a big loss to them, hes 37 and went hiding majority of last season according to my marra, however apparently his brothers firm was sponsoring barrow and wilkes and hes took his sponsorship to town aswell

When players leave a club it's very common for fans to say he won't be missed, I read it on here enough! gmc66, I'm not sure what games your mate was watching but Oliver in the last couple of months of last season was Barrow's best prop, Whitehaven fans will have only seen him in the 2 games at the back end of the season but I watched all season and he will certainly be an asset on and off the field at Derwent Park even at the age of 37!

Yeah no worries gmc66, I don't know too much about Riley to be honest but you fellas seem to rate the lad, if he settles like Tom Walker has Barrow have gained a good one, I personally think Oliver will be a miss however on & off the pitch and is that 'old head' that teams need

A bit of momentum swing towards town and its great to see peoples expectations of the new season ahead from both clubs it can only be positive all round for the pro game in our area ,UTT.

Well after all the stick we got from them up the road about splashing the cash to get promotion whilst their 5 year  plan was to develop local talent looks like the've scrapped that and gone for the s5it or bust route - especially if the Riley  rumour is correct. Must have a rich sponsor or found a money tree. Should be an interesting season.

They have still signed around 8 young unproven players.

They aren't worrying me like they are some, couldn't care less if they sign Riley, 30 minute player at a big cost.  Not what clubs can afford in this league imo.

what about if there's a few injured?
Jason mossop would be a decent squad player if he wanted to come and what about Liam Campbell
