The club has had sport on before and nobody was really bothering watching it, so why pay a premium as a club.

I'm sure the Board will listen to any and all ideas about how to appeal to more fans to turn up at the next meeting.

I'm not sure after a game is the best time, emotions can run a little high.

In the meantime though, we need to work out how to get more fans through the turnstiles. We have 8 home games left of the regular season and from the talk last night we are £60k away from breaking even. With gates so low, sponsors not coming on board and no backers the club will not be here if we don't all pull together.

Yes £16 to watch against some of the weaker teams may seem steep but all the other clubs charge that or more and fans still go.
Yes the team isn't full of Copeland constituents but show me 15 local players who are up to  beating Bradford/York/donny and want to play for Haven for a fraction of what we used to pay.

Is that 60K after what the income for home games has been estimated?  Or that is what we need to generate from the last 8 games?

Sounded like an extra £60k on top of what we can expect to earn with current gates, which stand at around a 600 average. Another 200 people on that average gate would see around £20k extra revenue, sponsors lounge being full every game would see another £20k towards the target and the money from the Catalans/cup exit money would see that target almost reached.

Doesn’t seem a lot extra needed but the apathy toward the club of late from the Town means it’s not looking achievable if we all don’t pull together.

expect well over a thousand when bradford it town would expect a good following from york next game so 800 should be achievable there its all about hitting a winning run again but does that cause problems by paying winning pay most weeks

Possibly, but in theory a winning team should generate them extra fans, we have all of the bigger teams to come now,  so would hope an average of 800 is achievable if the clubs form continues.

i know at least 12 diehards who havent been down for 5 seasons now, 1 of them was a shareholder and every single one of them says they have lost the passion with RL or do other things on sundays so i guess even jesus christ cant persuade them back...i knowwe are desperate to get people back but sometimes all the crack about getting people back or we lose our club really is out of our hands as supporters, individuals will decide themselves infact i cant keep getting at folk to return as its just not happening so hope others have better success....on the plus side attendances are creeping back up slowly with some big games ahead so heres hoping :tip:
