Where do we need to strengthen

Looks like we are well covered for outside backs  and half backs now. 

Am assuming Philips and Newton will resign for us so that's hookers sorted.

I think we have six back rowers on the books which should be plenty.

Prop looks like an area we need a couple of additions - I think we had six or seven props last year probably need five minimum.

I think this season is going to be harder than last year.  Doncaster have signed some  very useful players and aren't going to struggle .  Think Dewsbury Swinton and maybe Barrow and keighley will be our rivals.

Gone quiet on squad news .  We need at least a 24 man squad which would be same as last year .  Probably need two props and maybe another outside back.


We also  do seem to be one of the few teams that  haven't yet started pre season.  Assume that will begin very shortly.

Barnes is a good player but I do think we are more in need of front rowers than another backrower.  We only have three props Castle Graham and Anley.  I would say with inevitable injurys we need two more.  Am not even sure the backrowers would naturally move up to front row.  Maybe Dion or King but they would be wasted and are our two best attacking forwards.

Think it's gone too far now with Tom great player but can't see him returning. And by all accounts he's  off to Barrow

22 players in a squad looks very thin for a full season.

Dion posted a picture of his new house apparently in PNG is he coming back to us this season. If not do we have someone lined up to attempt to even replace such a tremendous player.
