Tom McKinney - Loanee - Welcome

In keeping with us building a mainly local team we would like to announce our latest signing ✍️ on loan from Warrington Tom McKinney.
Tom is only 18  but stands at 6ft 4 inches and is a big strong powerful runner of the ball.
Tom signed scholarship for Warrington in 2021 from Hensingham where he played all his youth rugby and been there since.
He moved down after he left school a few weeks after his 16th birthday in the academy set up.
He has represented Lancashire academy last few years with there being no representative Cumbria Academy and was also selected for the England Academy squads when he was 16 in France and last year when he started in the front row against them at home when he was 17.
He’s been going watching Haven from being a kid and over the moon at getting the opportunity to play for his hometown club

Great work getting Tom in, local lad who will of picked up great knowledge from Burgess, Vaughan etc.. vital experience for him and good to see the club building connections with a team like Warrington.

Great news . Big unit and that’s what we’re short of . Need a bit more size in the pack . Hopefully we can keep him for the rest of the season
