Only just noticed the poll, I don't know how long it has been on here?

Anyhow, it is very unfare and unhelpful question, do you support the Raaz consortium, yes or no? I would like to say maybe "yes, with serious reservations" or maybe "I don't know". Voting no would obviously be seen as provocative.

The point is, whether the Raaz bid has our support or not at the moment is close to IRRELEVANT at the time being. As stated earlier, a Supporters Trust would only kick-in once a new club is formed or (seeing as we are possibly still not in administration) things have stabilised at the club. If the Raaz's want our support in the meantime (financial support, or a commitment to get behind any proposals) then they need to ask for it now, in a clear way.

It goes without saying, if the fans were given the choice of a club with Dick Raaz at the helm or no Haven any more ever then 99.99% would obviously get behind the Raaz bid.


PS It is RaAz and not RaZz. A common mistake and one that I often make myself.

Good post Karl - unfortunately, Whitehaven in general, suffers from this negativity and apathy, hence the state of the town! Its about time we stopped living in the past and realised that the (brief) hopes of SL glory and being the 'pride of Cumbria' are gone. Get over it and move on! As Karl said, there wasn't exactly a queue of people waiting to take over the club, so I think we should give Dick Raaz & co every support.

couldnt get to the meeting last night
but what seems is that a cock up means we havent entered adminstration
that has nothing to do with Razz and everyone else involved
what Mr razz has done for the club by putting his own money seems to have starved adminstration to the end of the season and not during
at this moment in time
Razz and who ever else is involved needs our support as fans so when all this has finished this town still a rugby league club

very sad to hear this mrs razz there are one are two nutters on here who always look on the dark side,  but most people think you and your husband are trying your best in very difficult circumstances .I can see light at the end of the tunnel so hang on in there see us rise out of the ashes

I felt a lot more comfortable after the meeting with the statement from Karl and Laura. Concersn were answered honestly. The whole mess just needs sorted..then we can move forward with the club and the trust.

The winding-up petition served on Whitehaven Rugby League Club has been suspended in the courts today.HM Revenue and Customs had agreed to withdraw the petition following an administration error.Chairman Dick Raaz confrmed to BBCRC Sport that the club were now officially in administration while work continued on a bill of sale.

Hope that clears up the situation we're in at the moment.
