I suggest you all calm down, what you need is a little trust and understand that our BOD members ARE in command of what is going on.

There have been enough statements and clues to suggest to me that we should avoid hysterics and bide our time, things will work out as promised.

I am NOT worried if that's any help to anyone. Go to bed and sleep on it. These things need time to work through. The club issuing statements just now would not be helpful I suspect.

Some of you blokes are absoloute shockers all the Razz's have done is put an absoloute pile of their personl moeny into the club to support it, spend I don't how many hours trying to save it and you carry on like they have caused the problems.  Its so short sighted its unbelievable.  I ahve been following the club for near on 40 years and they have done more than i ever have or will and the same applies to 90% of posters on here. Give them a break they are trying to save our club.A bit of support might make all the difference.

If you read Radio Cumbria Sport Twitter page - "a mistake at the office acting on behalf of the club means the period of administration was never officially declared with the tax office"

So - administrators office cock-up - no more conspiracy theories please.
God this is a long tunnel...........and its getting longer by the minute!

So the situation would appear to be that the club is in administration, but the administrators forgot to notify the tax man, so the taxman carried on as normal and issued his winding up order.  I'm sure all will be fine once the administrator has admitted to the tax man that he dropped the ball, not the club.

Wanna give us a web address so we can judge for ourselves?

It doesn't particularly guarantee fact, just because its been Tweeted by Radio Cumbria Sport - but I would venture to say that its likely to be far more factual than most of the utter garbage that's posted on this topic today!!!

knowitall, do you read and understand the facts which underpin the state which our club has gotten itself into ?

The club has been in dire trouble for .......................

Awww I give up, it's all been said on here so many times, but you just don't seem to want to understand what's gone on and who done what to try to sort things out........in the case of DR with his own cash.

Thanks for the link, HW.

Jaypeet, you are right that it is as valid as much of the speculation on the board tonight. But the information given, from BBC Radio Cumbria but via a Tweet, may have originated from anywhere, including possibly the club?

As you are well aware the option often given besides conspiracy is "cock-up" and if it is so then it as cock-up on behalf of those leading the club as much as the administrators office. But perhaps you are right, we should maybe hang-fire until tomorrow when MAYBE more information will be forth-coming from the club. As others have said all this speculation is rife because there is a toal lack of communication from the proposed new board.

There is a public supporters trust meeting tomorrow night at the Recre and I know that Laura Harrison from Supporters Direct, who will be present, is talking to the RFL to try and determine exactly what is going on here. Hopefully she will have some answers at the meeting tomorrow.

Okay, knowitall is now ofline so I'll have first go.

Any money (and time and effort) put in by Dick Raaz (and Mrs JD, and others) is very much appreciated and I am sure that everyone around the club realises that many of the problems surrounding the club were not of their making.

But the facts are that the club a) was relegated and b) went into administration / liquidation during his tenure, and other than being where the buck stops he stubbornly kept Ged in charge of the team, and urged supporters who were not happy with the way things were going - who have been proved to be right! - to stay away.

Recently, posters have been complaing about the lack of, or even mis-information, being directed at the fans and then we get the announcement today. An Independant Supporters Trust was meant to come to the rescue of the club but it wasn't apparently what the Raaz consortium wanted..... Okay just seen Flannerz's post in the meantime so will leave it there.
