Yeah, superb!  :yey:We have a new club with a new start and even though it will be a rocky road I'm sure the promised land lies at the end of it! :what?!:

I suppose I should apologise to some at the club that my deepest suspicions were unfounded, and would suggest that others could do the same. That said, I would be amazed if there was 100% agreement on everything that the next few months may bring, but that is part of the fun! :)

Anyhow, let's get this Supporters Trust up and running as soon as is practicable and lets hit next season running.

(But I would also add with others that let's keep Sunday about Sunday and we'll get back to the nitty-gritty next week).

P.S. Who is that moron sports presenter who doesn't even understand the scoring system in the Ryder Cup? :D

I thought thaty too.
Dick sounded very relieved ( obviously), new BOD, new coach in the offing, the ST now setting up...."the rumours of the death of Haven RL have been greatly exaggerrated"  :D

Great news, a bit of advice to Mrs Raaz, rise above the stupid comments made by a minority of so called fans bent on mischief. True fans now need to convince the board that they also want to help. One comment that has been frequently made is that the ladies toilets are poor. I can plumb and tile and I am available and  offer my services freee of charge let's start getting a bit more professional even though things are going to be financially tight for a while.

To Dick Raaz and co. I say you can't do this alone. Do a bit ot market research and you will realise that there is a passion in the town for this club and people are prepared to help if you are willing to listen to the hopes and aspirations of the true supporters. We will create a supporters Trust which will have a democratically elected board. We will appoint a representative  and in return for financial support we expect to have a degree of influence in how the club is run in the fiture.

How laid back does the bloke sound in the interview ... it is like he was just poaching a couple of eggs. !

I really think now we have a clean slate DR will put the club on a sound footing.  Looks like rumours of our demise were greatly exaggeratted ...much to the disappointment of Workinton Town R L and all their fans.

The key thing now is that we as supporters don't expect too much too soon. The club will obviously have to work to a strict limited budget from now on so that we never get in this position again. We're only going to be able to spend what we can afford and supporters will need to be realistic in the players we can sign and the level of success we can achieve.

well done. Now let's hope the minority of ignorant racists that have been frenzied over the last few days on here (much to our embarrassment) now put up or shut up and let's get on with the job in hand.

I dont recall seeing any racist comments were they removed or are you just sensitive?
If it's a girl they're naming her Sigourney after an actress, if it's a boy the 're naming him Rodney after Dave

I think garty is referring to the anti-American comments that were made. She's getting confused between racism and xenophobia.

'hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.'

I'll go with racist - no confusion here.

Xenophobia covers it equally as well though - ''hatred or distrust of anything or anyone that originates from or lives past Distington''
