How can anyone set any odds when some clubs haven't even signed any players at all yet, never mind finalised their squads !

Can't understand how they can set the odds at this early stage, but experience dictates that they are a lot more right than they are ever wrong.

It's to do with the money placed!

Other than 'creating the market' the odds will move as the amount of money placed moves too!

Dont think our squad comes close to warrent favourites tag.  A lot of teams will be stronger next year where we have the same team with the same weaknesses as last year i.e lack of any leadership / experienced half back and lack of an experienced agressive prop in front row.

No coincidence that Swinton Town and Keighley reached the grand final champions etc with Watson , Holt and Demetriou .  Unless we sign a couple of players with experience in key positions think we will have a battle to get the top 3 next year.

To be honest boxer were  a lot stronger now than what we where  this time last year if you look at the 3 cumbrian teams at the min we all seem lightweight in the props department only early days yet lets see what don brings

i seriously cant see why we are favourites at the moment.... unless we bring a couple of good strong forwards and possibly a quality play maker then id be sticking my money on barrow, especially at 6/1 and starting on zero
Whitehaven 2010....Heres to the future.

Me to think they will win the league be favourites They have Holt, Kaighan and Campbell at half back and two very good hookers in Mossop and Pedley.

We hav e Gee and Karalius who havent really played any first grade games between them in any division, ok Gee has a handful for London Scholars at Hooker.

As things stand we have a big problem IMO at half back. We are told Rudd is retiring Purdham isnt playing RL so not sure we have many options to find an experienced half back to lead the team round the field.

Dont think there is any amature who could do the job we need at half back.  Rudds our best opton IMO .
