Doncaster have phoned the club this morning to say that the game will DEFINITELY GO AHEAD on Friday night...7-30pm kick off. Don't forget family tickets available for this one.

I know there are a lot of attractions in town on Friday night but your support for this one would certainly be appreciated!!
There wil be entertainment on pre match and in the bar afterwards.

The game against Doncaster Lakers on Friday night is a Community Game
which means that Family tickets are now on sale at the office on the
ground and at Barwise Chippy on Kells. They offer great value for money
at ?20 for two adults and two children giving a family of four the
opportunity to save ?10. Additional kids tickets bought with the family
ticket are priced at ?2 each. The office is open between 10-0am and 2-
0pm daily and all tickets must be bought by 5-0pm on Friday.

Not great value if you don't live in Whitehaven and can't buy them in advance are they?

You must know someone who can duck into town and pick you up some tickets Don't be so negative
If it's a girl they're naming her Sigourney after an actress, if it's a boy the 're naming him Rodney after Dave

I was brought up in Whitehaven but left 27 years ago, I now have no contacts at all in the town, but still make a 100 mile round trip to EVERY home game. This week my family of 5 will have to pay ?33 but anyone else will pay ?22, hardly fair is it?

I am sure if you got in contact with anyone from the Club, explain your predicament and maybe send off a cheque/postal order to the club, they will do all they can to help you and you can pick up the tickets at the ground?

Perhaps, Champ or Eternal Optimist will reply and be in touch with you via Private Message if this is a possibility?

Takeover saves Lakers
SUPPORTERS will be hoping that today's takeover of Doncaster Lakers will signal a bright new era for the club.

After weeks of wrangling local businessmen Shane Miller and Craig Harrison were finally given the green light to take control.
And the pair's first task was to install former fans' favourite Carl Hall as director of rugby.

found this on the net dated today
see you all friday

Yes, it all went through in the 11th hour for us and we're all thrilled to bits down here

Not the easiest of starts for the new era, specially considering we won;t have any time for squad building but at this moment in time we're just chuffed to have a club.

Thanks to any supporters who gave good wishes, sorry you won't get the defeat at our place quashed but I'm sure you'll more htan make up for it tomorrow  ;). And a big thanks to the RFL, who despite what everyone says about them not helping the little guys, have really made this possible.

See you all Friday

i'd rather have the defeat as a permanent reminder on our record than to see a club go out of business, unless it was one of the t00sp0t SL clubs!!!
