Found this on the Barra site. Quality or what

Thought you guys would like to read this post(taken from the Rochdale board), sums up what most fans of teams who have seen him play think of him!!!

From today's 'Barrow Daily Grunt'... (with bu11sh!t translator applied)

RAIDERS were due to unveil a major (fat) new signing ? Super League forward Mike Smith ? at Craven Park this afternoon.

The deal had been kept under wraps over the weekend because of fierce competition for the 29-year-old Kiwi?s signature from other National League clubs (because he's been locked in an all you can eat Chinese in Bowness).

Only yesterday one of the rugby trade papers reported that first division Doncaster Lakers were confident of winning the race to sign the former New Zealand international (that Doncaster Lakers were driving past his house with a KFC family bucket on a rope).

Smith was recently released by Super League Hull KR at the player?s own request, citing family reasons (a four figure pie bill) for a need to return to New Zealand (Pizza Hut).

However Barrow RL chief executive Des Johnston stepped in and secured the player on a two-year (limitless pies) deal at a meeting in a hotel (MacDonalds) near Leeds.

He revealed that the club had gone through the same agent - Castleford?s Ron Hill (Holland's Pies) - who had brokered the successful close season signings of Andy Ellis from Hull KR and Martin Ostler from Sheffield Eagles (two other wastes of money).

Smith, who starred for Hull KR when they won promotion to Super League last season, has previously played for Canberra Raiders and Castleford and had a brief spell at St Helens. (had previously bankrupted Burger King in Canberra and Castleford and had a whole tiramisu a day at St Helens).

Raiders coach Paul Crarey says the signing showed that Barrow Rugby League club now meant business. (Raiders coach Paul Crarey says the signing showed that Barrow Rugby League club had no idea how much family packs of Twix cost).

He said: ?We are very happy to get him in the face of competition from National League One clubs. ("We're happy to let him to stuff his face before he bu ggers off back to New Zealand")

?It is a massive, massive signing for the club. (He's massive; massive)

?Michael is an outstanding player (you can't miss someone this size), left-sided and very strong in the back or front row (he can get both arms and his head into the fridge). He has come across as a sensitive guy, who didn?t want full-time football. (he's a fat lad who can't be @rsed training).

?It is up to us to keep him happy and get the best out of him. (It's up to us to try and get this waster up to a jog - were trying a Mars bar on a piece of string).

?Michael told me he had played for smaller clubs back in New Zealand and enjoyed the challenge. (He told me he'd played for pub sides because he got a discount on shepherd's pie and scampi and chips - and he enjoyed them all. Yum yum)

?He is someone our younger players can look up to and learn from.? (If you don't train and eat sensibly THIS is what can happen)

Crarey added that Smith was cup-tied and could not play in Sunday?s Carnegie Challenge Cup fourth round game at Swinton. (He's got a table booked at the Bay of Bengal and Chicken Madras wins every time)

However the fans could get a glimpse of him this week. ("what's that big shadow comiong this way, dad?)

He is expected to make his debut for the Academy in their opening fixture at home to Whitehaven on Friday. (Against kids, even a fat lad like this looks like a world beater.)
